Citroën C4 Cactus blev årets bil i Danmark 2015
Every year since the tradition started in 1969 will announce Motor Journalists Club Denmark this year’s best car, and in the finals, there were only seven different car brands, which fought for the coveted first place. This year, Citroën won a crushing victory secure, because the points can be seen here:
- Citroën C4 Cactus (small mid-range hatchback) 148 points
- VW Passat (great mid-range sedan and station wagon) 87 points
- Ford Mondeo (great mid-range hatchback and station wagon) 83 points
- Opel Corsa (mini class hatchback) 71 points
- Nissan Qashqai (SUV / crossover) 53 points
- BMW 2 Series Active Tourer (small MPV) 42 points
- Mercedes-Benz C-Class (great mid-range sedan and station wagon) 41 points
The jury consisted of numerous motor writers, and their motivations for the decision and the scores were especially the Citroën C4 Cactus offers many innovative lightweight solutions, a funky cabin and very low fuel consumption without running boring. The car is a practical family car with a great level of equipment at a very reasonable price, and it has even innovations such as airbag in the ceiling and airbumps. Citroën C4 Cactus has a distinctive and bold design as the car’s design and decor is minimalist and modern at once. It’s also a neat feature with the car’s built-in large touch screen that can be connected to your phone. A C4 Cactus breaks with the conventions especially inside the cabin, but at the same time yesterday the car does not compromise on functionality and excessive use of modern technology.
Car of the Year in Denmark in 2014
Last year there was a larger and more varied selection of cars in the finals, while here in 2015 especially the somewhat larger and more expensive cars present. In 2014 there was a part of the absolutely tiny micro class among the nominees such as the Renault Twingo, Hyundai i10 and Toyota Aygo. In 2014 won the VW Up !, Skoda Citigo and SEAT Mii overall title of the year car.
Car of the Year 2015 in Europe
At the international motor show in Geneva selects every year the best car in Europe, and this year won the VW Passat first place, Citroën C4 Cactus ended up in second place, and the car Mercedes Benz C-Class came in at an impressive third place. The other finalists were the cars Ford Mondeo, Nissan Qashqai, BMW 2 Active Tourer and Renault Twingo. 58 people were to make a final choice among the nominees cars and Passat won Car of the Year in Europe in 2015, because it has a wide range of technologies such as connectivity systems and driver assistance systems and various efficient transmissions for this hybrid GTE. This gives the driver a lot of comfort and overall driving experience. The German car brand Volkswagen has usually always great success at the international motor show in Geneva. In 2013, Volkswagen won for its Golf model, while the car manufacturer Polo won the award back in 2010. The reason you do not select the same car in Denmark and in Europe can often be that the price in Denmark is significantly higher than the general price level in Europe, Danes have to focus on price in conjunction with the car’s comfort and driveability.
